Many moons ago, at the tender age of 14, Cal touched his first computer. Since then his life has never been the same. He graduated from TRS-80s to Commodores and eventually to IBM PC’s. 

For the past 8 years Cal has worked with PHP and MySQL on Linux OSX, and when necessary, Windows. He has built on a variety of projects ranging in size from simple web pages to multi-million dollar web applications.

When not banging his head on his monitor, attempting a blood sacrifice to get a particular piece of code working, he enjoys building and managing development teams using his widely imitated but never patented management style of “management by wandering around”. These days, Cal’s hobby is photography. As a photographer, Cal is a pretty good programmer. He continually tries, none-the-less, to improve his skills. 

Cal is currently based in Nashville, TN where is the full-time father of two and fills the rest of his day as the Editor of DevZone, for Zend Technologies. Cal blogs at http://blog.calevans.com.

Ivo is CTO van Ibuildings; in die rol begeleidt hij de ontwikkelteams, werkt hij met klanten die PHP strategisch inzetten en houdt hij zich bezig met de 'evangelisatie' van PHP in Nederland, bijvoorbeeld door te spreken op conferenties. Hij is de auteur van enkele open source PHP projecten, zoals het Business Framework 'ATK', en werkt momenteel aan een boek over het toepassen van PHP in enterprise omgevingen. Ruud Steeghs is als software architect werkzaam bij Sogeti Nederland B.V. Vanuit deze rol helpt hij organisaties om onder architectuur software te ontwikkelen, geeft hij advies over het toepassen van Service Oriented Architecture, software architectuur en het inrichten van ontwikkelstraten.

Martin is a Software Architect with Sogeti Nederland B.V. where he founded the Proactive Security Strategy (PaSS) task force with the focus on secure application development. Martin has extensive experience of systems development and architecture on small and complex Java systems. Martin is a member of the Dutch OWASP chapter where he is an active member of the chapter board. Further, Martin is project lead of the OWASP on the move project, sponsoring the exchange of speakers between local OWASP chapters and the OWASP speaker project, categorizing speakers, presentations and subject areas.

Peter is werkzaam als Software Engineer en Professional Services Consultant bij Ibuildings. In zijn rol als Software Engineer is hij verantwoordelijk voor de architectuur voor uiteenlopende PHP projecten. Als Professional Services Consultant adviseert hij organisaties bij PHP software development en geeft hij regelmatig cursussen. In zijn vrije tijd werkt hij ondermeer aan het open source business framework ATK.

Robert van der Linde is als software engineer werkzaam bij Sogeti Nederland B.V. In het verleden heeft hij onder andere PHP tooling gebouwd voor banken en e-commerce oplossingen gerealiseerd. Hoewel hij soms stiekem met Java aan het stoeien is ligt zijn hart nog steeds bij de taal waar hij 6 jaar geleden mee begon, PHP.
