Although we deem this release candidate stable (it would not be a release candidate otherwise), Achievo 1.0.RC2 must still be considered a development release. For production environments, you might want to stick with the latest stable version of Achievo (0.8.4). If you want to help us stabilize 1.0 however, please try this new version.
The method for running Achievo cronscripts (like the timeregistration reminder script) has changed such, that an upgrade of Achievo will brake your current cron scripts. It is easy to fix (just the script calls have changed); please read the cron/README file to see how cron scripts should be run now. It is not common to make such a change in a release candidate, but the change will allow future add-on modules to add cron scripts without having to change Achievo code. If I had not made this change, it would be very hard to create cron scripts for add-on modules, and there will definitely be add-on modules once Achievo 1.0 has been released. Like before, if you upgrade from an older Achievo version, you need to update your database. Instructions can be found in the doc/UPGRADE file included in the distribution. If you upgrade from 1.0.RC1, your database does not need to be patched.
