The second release candidate received a lot more testing than the first candidate, for which we are very thankful. Because of this, we were able to find and fix several issues. The plans were to release Achievo 1.0 after RC2, but the number of fixes warrants a third release candidate. I'd like to thank all the people who helped testing, and I hope this release candidate will receive as much testing as the previous releases, so we can rapidly move to Achievo 1.0. If you test this release candidate, please report any issues you might find in bugzilla.
Although we deem this release candidate stable (it would not be a release candidate otherwise), Achievo 1.0.RC3 must still be considered a development release. For production environments, you might want to stick with the latest stable version of Achievo (0.9.4). If you want to help us stabilize 1.0 however, please try this new version.
The database did not change between RC2 and RC3, so people already running RC2 can seamlessly switch over to RC3. For upgrading from older releases to this version, please see the UPGRADE file which is included in the doc/ directory in the Achievo tar.gz file.
