Achievo 1.4.4 release notes - May 21, 2010

These are the release notes for Achievo 1.4.4.
The changes in this release are listed below, as well as any issues that you should be aware of when upgrading to this release.

Installation Notes

To install Achievo, you need a webserver with PHP5 support, and a database server (MySQL5+ is fully supported, PostgreSQL and Oracle support is present but may not be fully functional). Unzip the Achievo archive somewhere in your webservers' documentroot, and read the installation instructions (in the doc/INSTALL file after you unzipped Achievo, or online.

Upgrade Notes

When upgrading from a previous version of Achievo, no database patch is necessary. If you use the docmanager for uploading files check the configs/docmanager.inc.php if all upload extensions are available for you.

What's new since 1.4.3?

Yesterday we received an email from Stefan Esser which was testing Achievo for the Month Of PHP Security. During the SQL Injection marathon he found one in the script that generates the project graphs. This security bugfix release will fix this issue. Here is the complete list of changes:

  • Fixed creating users when using MySQL Strict mode.
  • Fixed SQLInjection in project graphs.
  • Fixed autonumbering of projects.
