Administrator
A super user that is not related to a group and has access to every group.This user should only be used to create users and security profiles.
Apache
Web server runnung under a Open Source Licence. For further information please refer to http://www.apache.org. Apache is part of the LAMP system, a typical combination of environment running Achievo
CSV-format
CSV is the abbreviaton for 'comma seperated values' and is the most used format exchanging data. Achievo is able to read and write CSV data via the links to the Import/Export functions.
Filter
Function to reduce an amount of displayed records withing a list.
GPL
Abbreviation for 'GNU General Public Licence', the lice from Achievo. The GPL is an Open Source licence. For further imformation please refer to www.gnu.org
LAMP
Abbreviateion for 'Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP'. The four software components (all under Open source licence) are the typical environment, in which Achievo will be run. Never the less any other operatingsystem, webserver of database system (postgreSQL, Oracle) will do. Please refer to the chapter system requirements.
MySQL
A relation database system under Open Source Licence. For further information please refer to http://www.mysql.com. MySQL is part of the LAMP configuration.
Open Source
A type of licence focusing on the freedom of the user. For example the source code is available for the user. Achievo is licenced uder 'GNU General Public Licence' (GPL), an Open Source licence.
PHP
Script language, in which the source code of Achievo is written in. For further information please refer to http://www.php.net. PHP is part of the LAMP configuration.
Security Profiles
A template to define access rights to modules. The administrator creates a profile and defines for every module and gives the proper rights. After creating the profille, the administrator can assign this profile on to multiple users of Achievo.
vCard
Data format for exchanging informations of personal interest. (ref. business card).
